Lord You have touched me with Your
grace
for now I understand
what purpose of life on earth is
and how You have it planned

where happiness has truly come
where there’s joy each new day
having a close relationship
with Jesus the true way

before I never could have loved
anyone as I should
because God was not in my heart
I never understood
____
but when the Lord changed a life
true love is then revealed
through grace a sinner is made whole
through love man’s death repealed
____
then service to God is a choice
one that opens new doors
opportunities for gladness
and hope for what’s in store
____
as by grace life exists on earth
or else there’d be a void
God’s ultimate sovereignty reigns
lest evil should destroy
____
it took a love which could forgive
a miserable soul like me
that blessed grace which Jesus gives
shall set the captive free
